About

I’m an assistant professor of Sociology at The University of New Mexico. My research concentrates on interpersonal social networks, and how they are related to other social phenomena. I’ve looked at how the network disruption of moving affects friendship segregation of different characteristics, how prehistoric social inequality may have developed from network differentiation, how adolescent networks and affiliations influence transitions into adult civic engagement, and how romantic couples meet.
